This is a classical Arabic grammar manual that covers the fundamentals of Arabic Grammar in extensive detail. This course will be ideal for any student who has studied the Madina books (Books 1-3), Commentary of the Ajrummiyah or equivalent, and wants to take this knowledge to the next level in order to master Arabic Grammar and begin studies in Rhetoric. The book will be read in Arabic and expounded upon in great detail. The lessons covered are from Nominative case nouns until the end of Accusative nouns.
All relevant handouts will be provided. Students will have access to online forums to ask questions. All lessons can be downloaded for personal use. Anyone who falls behind with their studies will be given extra time to access the forums and lessons.
Course Structure:
The three types of verbs. Linguistic discussions on the past and present/future tense verbs. Iraab of the Mudaari verb and why it declines in the language.
The Accusative and Nominative Mudaari verb. The Nominative particles and linguistic discussions related to them.
The Majzoom Mudaari verb. Nouns and particles of requital. Conditional sentences and linguistic discussions related to them.
The command verb and the passive verb. Linguistic discussions related to both types of verbs.
The Transitive and Intransitive verbs. Verbs of the heart.
Deficient verbs and the three meanings of Kana. Explanation of the rest of the Deficient verbs. Verbs of Close Proximity.
The Verb of Astonishment and the Verb of Praise and Blame.
