This is a classical Arabic grammar manual that covers the fundamentals of Arabic Grammar in extensive detail. This course will be ideal for any student who has studied the Madina books (Books 1-3), Commentary of the Ajrummiyah or equivalent, and wants to take this knowledge to the next level in order to master Arabic Grammar and begin studies in Rhetoric. The book will be read in Arabic and expounded upon in great detail. The lessons covered are from Nominative case nouns until the end of Accusative nouns.

All relevant handouts will be provided. Students will have access to online forums to ask questions. All lessons can be downloaded for personal use. Anyone who falls behind with their studies will be given extra time to access the forums and lessons.

Course Structure:

The Nouns That Follow (Al-Tawaabi') Part 1. The Na'at (Adjective): The two types of Na'at (Haqeeqi and Sababi). Linguistic discussions related to the Na'at with examples from the Quran.

The Nouns That Follow (Al-Tawaabi') Part 2. Joining with conjunctions: When is joining not permissible? Further discussions not covered in the book with examples from the Quran.

The Nouns That Follow (Al-Tawaabi') Part 3. Emphasis (Ta'keed): The two main reasons for using Ta'keed. Methods to emphasize different aspects of a sentence. Examples from the Quran.

The Nouns That Follow (Al-Tawaabi') Part 4. The Substitute (Badal): The four types of Badal with examples. Rules for when Badal and the followed word differ in definiteness.

Reasons for Nouns to be Mabni and How They Are Analyzed. Introduction to the eight types of Ism Mabni.

Personal Pronouns (Al-Mudhmaraat) Part 2. Detailed linguistic analysis of Dhamir Al Sha'in and Dhamir Al Fasl.

Demonstrative Pronouns (Asmaa Al-Ishaarah): In-depth discussion with examples from inside and outside the Quran.

Relative Pronouns (Asmaa Mawsoola): Their roles as adjectives, with rhetorical and grammatical insights.
